Why my first name is Derrick
Derrick Rose: "The Windy City Assassin"
Derrick Rose was born on October 4, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was selected by his hometown Chicago Bulls as the 1st overall pick in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft. He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2009 and became the youngest player to win the NBA Most Valuable Player Award in 2011 at the age of 22 years and 7 months. On September 26, 2024, Rose announced his retirement.
